A large independent accounting firm, in Dover, Kent, are looking for a Payroll Assistant to help with their portfolio of clients.

Their modern office is located in a town centre location, within a 10-minute walk of the train station, as well as a couple of minutes walk from a local car park. With great transport links, this role is commutable from a large portion of Kent.

The role will involve dealing with a mixed portfolio of clients, ranging from smaller payrolls to firms with over 70 employees. You will also be required to set up members of staff on the auto-enrolment pension scheme and attend client meetings as needed.

You will be responsible for looking after the payroll client list, ensuring timely delivery of the service and involving other members of staff as necessary to help cover holidays and other absences.

What are we looking for?

• You may hold a relevant qualification
• Up-to-date knowledge of developments in payroll
• Experience using SAGE payroll software is advantageous
• Excellent communication and relationship skills
• Desire to get involved with business development and grow your portfolio
