We are working with a top 20 firm on some new positions for their office in Newbury, Berkshire. This role is for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their existing accounts team and help ensure the accounts team is more efficient and improve their ability to cope with the workload.

The Newbury office is conveniently located just a 15 minute walk from Newbury Train Station and is just 30 minutes from the centre of Reading and the centre of Basingstoke.

About You:

• Should be ATT part qualified or newly qualified
• Looking to progress onto a further qualification, such as the ACCA/ACA
• 2+ years experience gained within public practice is essential
• Confident across a wide range of responsibilities within accountancy
• Possibly looking to join a larger firm to develop your skills with larger clients and more complex work
• Confident working with all levels of staff and clients
• First class communication and presentation skills

About the role:

• Preparation of statutory and management accounts
• Preparation of VAT, corporate tax and personal tax returns
• Assist in the training of junior staff
• Work closely with the Accounts Manager
• Some involvement in assisting with statutory audits
