Salary £19,000 – 21,000pa dependent on experience

Our client is an award-winning organisation that is well known in the local area. Due to business growth, they're presently looking to recruit a motivated and ambitious Accounts Assistant to join them in a newly created role. The position will be a varied mix of both sales and purchase ledger duties and general assistance across the wider finance function.

The position will report directly into the Finance Manager and Finance Director as part of 6 person finance team. This is a highly collaborative and supportive office environment, with full training available.

Our client's ideal candidate would be an active AAT studier with existing relevant accounts experience. However, entry level AAT studiers who have excellent professionalism, numerical skills, and IT skills will also be considered.

Overview of duties:

• Accurate and timely processing of daily receipts and payables
• Responsible for processing of banking transactions for payables and receipts
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Responsible for weekly bank reconciliation for all entities
• Deal with day to day accounts queries in a timely and effective manner
• Facilitate and improve purchase order compliance within the organisation
• Assist the finance team in production of material for the statutory audits
• Ad hoc finance admin duties in our busy accounts office
• Filing and record keeping tasks
