An award winning, entrepreneurial business based in Brighton is seeking a diligent and aspiring Finance Manager to join them in a pivotal, newly created role for the business. This company is building upon several years of continued success, driven by maintained excellent customer service, and has ambitious business plans. This will be my client's first in-house Finance Manager, bringing control internally from their external firm. This individual will work closely with the Managing Directors / business owners on ensuring effective financial management and reporting for the business and play an integral part in the decision making process and actively contribute to them reaching their growth potential.

The successful candidate will decide when to recruit their first Finance Assistant and the rate at which they develop their own team. It is expected that at least 1 Finance Assistant will be required within the first year. As it is a small team, this is a hands-on role to start with this individual overseeing everything from day to day transactional accounting duties, to all management and financial reporting and analysis. They need someone who learns quickly and understands the importance of really getting to know a business 'from the bottom up'. A key focus of this role will be development of management information and profitability analysis of different product lines and services.
