About the Role

Wadhurst Primary School is a popular, happy and successful village school, with enthusiastic, well-behaved students who are keen to achieve and staff who are committed to ensuring they have access to great teaching and exciting opportunities.

We are seeking to recruit a part-time Individual Needs Assistant with motivation and experience to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in lower key stage 2 with behavioural needs. The role is classroom based on a temporary basis until February  2018, when the requirement will be reviewed with the potential for an extension with gradually reducing hours.

The successful candidate will have a high level of emotional intelligence and the ability to pick up on and react positively to changes in learners' mood, demeanour and behaviour. You will be required to follow guidance and direction from both school staff and external professionals.

Contract Type:       Temporary Hours of Work:      19.52 hours per week Days of Week:       Monday to Thursday, 12:10am to 3:30pm per day                             Friday 8:30am to 3:20pm Working Pattern:    Term time only (the salary will be pro rata) Closing Date:         Thursday 19 October 2017 Interview Date:      Wednesday 1st November 2017

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
