About the Role

The Adult College for Rural East Sussex is looking for an administrator to support adult learning courses running in the Community College. You will provide support for our evening and occasional Saturday adult learning provision.

You will be required to work three evenings - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 6.15pm-9.30pm, 9.75 hours per week, adult learning term time only. 

We will consider a job share.

Also, there will be occasional Saturday working to cover our Saturday Workshops.

In the event of no provision running at Claverham on any of these evenings, the post-holder will be temporarily re-located to an alternative ACRES centre and travel time and expenses reimbursed. The post-holder may also be asked to cover evening absences at other centres as necessary.

The successful candidate will play an integral part in providing high levels of service to our students, tutors and other internal and external customers. Our administrators play a key role in supporting ACRES – helping us provide an excellent service to the people of rural communities in East Sussex. It’s fast-paced and varied, but we’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need to succeed. You’ll be a great communicator, self motivated, conscientious and flexible with strong IT and administration skills. You will have a real passion for delivering excellent customer service. Knowledge of adult learning is desirable but not essential. Training will be given primarily on site with the occasional session at our Uckfield centre.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
