Volk’s Electric Railway- Activity Co-ordinator. 18.5 hours a week on a rota to include weekends Volk's Electric Railway, Madeira Drive. Brighton. A unique opportunity has arisen to become an integral part of the operation and development of Brighton’s famous Volk's Electric Railway. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Activity Co-ordinator to establish a new programme of exciting events and activities, support and administer our volunteering scheme and promote the service to the public. This is a new position which has been created to further develop the railway as a visitor attraction following a large redevelopment project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. • The person will be required to show that they have proven skills working in a visitor services role, specifically in a heritage or visitor attraction environment. • Experience of working with volunteers and schools is essential. • Proven marketing skills are also required in for the promotion of activities and events • Candidates should be proficient computer literate and able to maintain and update our new website and produce regular volunteer newsletters and updates.

It is intended that there will be a second Activity Co-ordinator in post from Easter 2018, and the job share will cover 37 hours per week split across seven days. Regular weekend and evening working is required. For more information please email
