Looking for a new challenge?  An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of this charity's Finance and to ensure delivery of an excellent service to the organisation.

Job Title: Finance Officer Hours: 22 ½ hours per week Salary: £23,000 to £27,000 (pro rata) per annum dependent upon experience Contract: Permanent Location: Brighton Benefits: 25 days holiday per year (pro rata) bank holidays 2 grace days (pro rata).

This is a new role, working closely with the Director and Treasurer, to play a key part in the financial management of the charity including:

·         preparing monthly management reports for the Director and Trustee Board

·         monitor internal financial controls

·         running monthly payroll, pension and expenses

·         preparing statutory group accounts for review and audit

·         co-ordinating external statutory audit process

·         Monitoring restricted funds

The post holder will have excellent communication and relationship skills in order to liaise with others in the Association.  They will also have experience of working with Sage Line 50 and advanced Excel skills.  Experience of working in the charity sector would be an advantage but is not essential for this role.  The charity would consider reduced flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
