About the Role
LECTURER/CO-ORDINATOR – SCIENCE/ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Up to £34,291 per annum. (Full time/Full year)
We are looking for an experienced Biology teacher with experience of, or a strong interest in, teaching adults (19+) to deliver a variety of Science modules to Access students on the Science, Medicine and Nursing & Healthcare Professions pathways of the Access to HE course (A Level equivalent qualification). Modules include:
- Human Biology - Reproduction and Inheritance - Biotechnology - Environmental Science
You will also be teaching GCSE Biology to adult students. The successful applicant will be co-ordinating our Science provision across two campuses and will also teach on both campuses. Applicants should be suitably qualified to degree level (or equivalent) and have a broad knowledge of topics and areas within the natural Sciences; in addition, they will have an appropriate teaching qualification. Ability to teach Chemistry at Level 3 and experience of teaching on an Access programme would be an advantage.
