About the Role

Required from June 2017. Ninfield C.E. Primary is a small village school and we are seeking to appoint a dedicated Caretaker, (due to the retirement of our current Caretaker) to provide an effective caretaking service, to supervise the Assistant Caretaker and cleaning staff, as well as inspect and record standards of cleaning and the grounds.

Duties will include dealing with all aspects of school cleaning and security and being responsible for the opening and closing of the school each day. The ideal candidate will be well versed in DIY, be able to act on their own initiative and deal with any unexpected problems that arise. You will need to be reliable and friendly and able to work well with staff, parents and children, sharing a pride in our school environment

Hours of work are 20 per week (Monday – Friday) –  2.00 p.m. until 6.00 p.m. (subject to negotiation), 52 weeks per year.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
