Brighton & Hove City Council benefits from a strong Public Health Department, located within the Health and Adult Social Care Directorate. The City Council is coterminous with a single Clinical Commissioning Group and benefits from strong partnership working across the health sector, the economy and education, including two flourishing universities. The City Council is seeking to recruit a fixed term Head of Public Health Intelligence. The postholder will ensure that the NHS and the Council have a comprehensive understanding of the current and future population’s health and wellbeing needs, including health inequalities. The postholder will lead the local Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) across partners in the city, including taking forward an innovative development programme to ensure the JSNA is fit for the future and effectively supports health and social care integration.
