About the Role
East Sussex is currently in the process of implementing East Sussex Better Together which will see the integration of health and social care teams, ensuring every patient or service user enjoys proactive, joined up care that supports them to live as independently as possible and achieve the best possible outcomes.
East Sussex County Council (ESCC) is looking for Occupational Therapists to be part of this innovative development
The role will include assessing Adults in-line with the Care Act, as an Occupational Therapist you will have a pivotal role in the well-being agenda and inform the interventions needed to meet clients and carers assessed eligible needs. You will manage and reduce risks allowing clients to remain as safe as possible in their own homes using a reablement approach; the role will involve working with a wide range of assistive equipment, housing adaptations and manual handling.
You need to have the skills to manage the challenges and rewards that an environment of continual improvement and development brings.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
