We are looking for people who are motivated to support people to: • learn new skills • develop their independence • live fulfilling lives • be as independent as possible You will need to be comfortable supporting people with personal care, and have good communication skills to build positive relationships with service users, their families and other professionals. If you would like to help us to achieve these aims and have experience or a real interest in working with people with Autism and Challenging Behaviour we would very much like to hear from you. You will receive regular supervision, mentoring and support in the role. Training will cover a range of courses including Manual handling, Food hygiene, Infection control and more specialised courses such as Positive Behavior Support, Makaton, Inclusive Communication, Mental capacity and the level 2&3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. To meet service user needs applicants need to hold a driving licence and be able to drive a manual car. The role will involve shift working, including working unsocial hours (for which enhanced pay can be claimed) and sleep ins.
