About the Role

Job purpose: To plan, deliver and assess part of Dv8 Sussex’s 16-19 Digital Media L1 programme at our centre in Brighton and to support the successful delivery of all qualifications, learning and pastoral care aims of this programme.

The successful candidate will become part of the Digital Media tutor team, contributing to the planning, delivery and assessment of OCR and/or BTEC qualifications on offer to students at Level 1. There are opportunities to work with students at level 1, supporting them to not only achieve qualifications but also facilitate them to deliver a range of real-world projects that utilise the skills they learn during the course.

Supporting our students in a holistic way is an integral part of the DV8 ethos and all of our music tutors also provide ongoing pastoral and educational support for all learners through 1:1 target setting meetings.

Our tutors also work closely with Additional Learning Support (ALS) staff, Maths, English and Employability Tutors to provide a learning environment which is stretching and challenging as well as being supportive.

Tutors also work with the centre management team to deliver the overall administration of qualifications, quality processes and day-to-day recording of learner attendance and behaviour.

The post-holder will use their practical experience within the creative industry to inspire and motivate our students. Dv8 Sussex prides itself on project-based learning, with real outcomes and opportunities to showcase success and innovation; the post-holder will use their creative industry experience to focus all practical work towards performance, exhibition and showcase opportunities.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
