Role Summary
Comms Intelligence is the Brighton brand and branch of Ingenious based in London providing ICT consultancy and support services to the SME market. The company was founded over 15 years ago and the position forms part of its expansion plans. The successful applicant will need to be an individual who has;

Areas of Responsibility
The successful applicant will need to develop skills ranging from network design through to desktop and server support. They will be managing the Brighton branch of the business which will be a team of 3 people in total. They will be involved in all aspects of ICT systems implementation & support including project proposals and costing, product procurement, installation & implementation, configuration, maintenance, support and on-going client management. Other responsibilities will include:
- Manage client requests for project & support work
- Maintain the office databases and systems, including client information, tasks and requests
- Provide customers with technical support and advice pertinent to their infrastructure
- Investigation of new technologies for new solutions for clients
- Office systems improvement
- Identify potential new business from new and existing clients
Additional Expectations and Incentives

- To reduce the workload on the existing team of support personnel
- Assimilate knowledge quickly so as to assist with the more difficult technical queries presented by our clients
- To add to the existing perception of excellence that the company has created in its relationship with clients
- To take proactive steps to help with moving the company forward with its expansion plans; all aspects including but not limited to, client procurement, marketing, sales and technology exploration
- Use an entrepreneurial spirit, thinking 'outside the box' with regards to how the company moves forward

Person Specification
Personal Attributes
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Articulate with excellent spoken and written English
- Sales/Customer Service experience advantageous
- Previous experience in IT support advantageous
Qualifications
A sound academic background, ideally with a further/higher education qualification (e.g. HNC or degree) in a relevant subject. MCP/MCSE/CCNA and other relevant qualifications will help but are not essential.
Experience
Mandatory
Knowledge of, or experience with the following technologies:
- Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server
- Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010/2016 Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000/XP Professional/Vista Business/7/8/10 Pro
- Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2013/2016 Professional
- Server and PC hardware components.
- Networking principles - TCP/IP, routing, subnets.
- Good understanding of Domain Name Management, DNS, web site hosting, and MX records.
- Routers, hubs, and switches
- Network security
- Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
- AntiVirus/Anti-Spyware and Anti-Spam principles and solutions
- Firewall/UTM devices.
Desirable
Knowledge of the following would be useful:
- Recent versions of desktop applications such as Adobe's products, Sage etc.
- Apple Mac systems
- Linux
- A basic understanding of telecoms

£35,000 + benefits
Hours Required
9:00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday [Occasional out of hours work may be required]
