This role involves the supervision of children eating school or packed lunches whilst keeping the canteen clean and tidy. When the children are not eating you will be expected to supervise them both indoors and in the playground. In order to do this you must be willing to engage with children in play activities and also oversee group games in the playground. You will also be asked to supervise small groups of children indoors for alternative play.

Positive behaviour at lunchtimes is essential to productive learning in our afternoon session and our Midday Supervisors play an important part in ensuring this is achieved. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour strategies and have experience in working with children of various ages from 4 to 11 years old.

Basic first aid is also required – training will be given if necessary. There will be further opportunities for training linked to the role.
