The successful candidate will have significant experience of effective teaching and learning in English as a specialism and an understanding of how children learn English. You will also have experience of identifying children with Dyslexia, developing programmes of support which will be delivered either by you or the classroom teacher. Working in your own room, we would expect you to have initiative, self-motivation and impeccable time management in order to work to a strict timetable supporting numerous children, initially in KS2. You will be expected to communicate effectively with a variety of people including the INCO, Year Leaders and Teachers. Additionally, you will be expected to plan the group sessions according to the needs of the children and assess their progress and attainment regularly to ensure the sessions are having a positive impact.

This new full-time role is initially fixed term until 31st August 2017 but we hope to continue the provision as long as there is a positive impact on pupil progress and attainment and funding continues to be available.
