About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Property Orbis partnership.  As an experienced Asset Manager you will be responsible for supporting the property investment strategy by negotiating strategic acquisitions (together with their on-going asset management) and disposals with a view to increasing the Council’s revenue streams and long term capital growth of its property investments. You will also be required to:

Actively manage the existing portfolio to maximise the value and drive income. Identify refurbishment and development opportunities Oversee third party contracts to ensure that the rent reviews and the lease renewals are done in an accurate and timely manner. You will have worked across a variety of sectors and will be commercially  focused and  experienced in dealing with external contract managers.  Working closely with finance, you will also be required to carefully monitor lease renewals, voids, insurance, dilapidations, rating issues and rent reviews.

You will support the governance and delivery mechanisms for the Council’s investment strategy, preparing high quality business cases for consideration by Cabinet and the Investment Advisory Board that satisfy internal approval mechanisms.

You will be a self motivated and committed individual who will be able to work within a small team and take the initiative.

Knowledge and experience required

- Ability to undertake financial analysis and forecasting, including the use of proprietary software.   - Experience of investment acquisitions and appropriate due diligence. - The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a high level of initiative and strategic thinking coupled with a sound knowledge and experience in leading regeneration and development schemes. - RICS qualification or evidence of substantial equivalent experience. - Commercial asset management experience.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
