Sussex Oakleaf is a dynamic and value-driven charitable organisation supporting vulnerable adults in a wide range of services across East and West Sussex. Our mission is to enable people to survive crisis and recover control in their lives.

Daubeney House is a registered care home that provides 24 hour support to people with significant mental health needs. Their ultimate aim is to help people gain greater independence over their lives, to set and help achieve personal goals and aspirations, to promote social inclusion and to facilitate the involvement of clients in all aspects of the running and development of the service. We are looking to expand our small bank team with talented, reliable and committed individuals to join our service.

We appreciate the nature of bank work is ad-hoc and hours are not guaranteed or regular, however, given the client group we support, we hold a list of bank workers who have flexible availability to cover shifts during times of need over a 24 hour period.

As with all our Recovery Workers within the Service, you will be required to work as part of a support team on a rota basis within the home and have the knowledge and experience of working in the care sector and the potential to develop these skills further. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and have some awareness and understanding of the recovery principles. Training is provided, and you would need to be available to attend workshops and courses usually held during the week.

If you would like to find out more, please contact Vincent Hill,  Service Manager at Daubeney House for an informal discussion about this position, or to arrange a visit to the Service.

Please Note: It is not standard practice to acknowledge receipt of applications, however, if you are successful in the shortlisting process, you will be contacted by a member of the interview panel to confirm an interview on 11th August 2016.
