This post specifically requires;
Awareness of Council objectives and constraints and ability to communicate effectively with Client Officers and external contacts.
High quality negotiating, advisory and advocacy skills.
Awareness of cost of time and need for Client care.
Ability to independently manage a demanding case load and prioritise according to risk.
Knowledge of broad legal principles, with specific knowledge of Child care law, in particular public law
Aptitude to embrace new areas of law and concepts and to develop specialist skills further.
The salary grade at which candidates will be appointed to will be based on skills/experience.
