Working in the council's Human Resources service you will be part of a busy HR operations team administering the council's recruitment, payroll and pension processes. You will require excellent customer service skills, good written and numerical skills, attention to detail and the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information.

Initially you will be working in the recruitment team, placing adverts, organising pre-employment checks, issuing offers and contracts of employment as well as setting new starters up on payroll.

The role operates across two pay grades to reflect the ability of individuals to develop as they acquire knowledge, experience and skills enabling them to operate with minimal supervision and to deal with the more complex aspects of the role.

Grade: NJC Scale 3/4
Full-time: 37 hours per week
