The Health & Safety team is responsible for ensuring that the council has the policies and strategies necessary to enable managers to meet their business objectives through their people.

In the Business Partner role you will provide assurance to the council by working with managers across the organisation to ensure appropriate safety management arrangements are in place. You will also be responsible for providing professional advice and you will have a fire safety portfolio.

The role involves working collaboratively with key stakeholders, including senior managers and trade unions. You will also provide expert advice to staff and managers on the interpretation of policies.

The contract is fixed-term for a period of 12 months. More information about the role is detailed in the attached job description and person specification.
