Buzz Active is a part of the East Sussex County Council learning outside the classroom portfolio and the activity centre across both sites work closely with a wide range of schools, colleges universities, youth groups and language schools in the local area. We are also open to the public and run a full summer programme for juniors and adults across both sites. We link with other local providers and also work with the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme in the area, delivering training and development for leaders and participants. As a Buzz Active Instructor you will be working as a part of a team of upto 25 instructors across two sites, delivering high quality fun friendly and safe sessions to a range of clients. We are looking for full and part time staff to work with us from March through to October and Peak season roles from My, June through to the end of August.

Buzz Active provide water sports and outdoor learning oportunities for the whole community, including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, power boating and paddle boarding. Successful candidates will have qualifications in at least one of the listed sports coaching awards from the RYA, BCU or BSUPA. We are looking for a range of staff members both full time and part time for the whole season from (March 21 to October 31), and peak season posts from early May to  the end of August available.

The Cuckmere site centre is looking for kayak coaches at  levels 1,2 and 3,.The Cuckmere site run sessions on the tidal section of the Cuckmere river and Cuckmere haven as well as on the sheltered flat water of the meanders. deliveringgroup and individual sessions and courses to a range of ages and abilities. Coaches will be required to work across both sites at times with group sessions run at our Eastbourne site, teaching paddle sport on our boating lake.

Our Eastbourne site is a busy schools hub for sailing and windsurfing activities with a thriving club for both adults and juniors incorporating the RYA Team 15 and OnBoard clubs. We are the Team 15 regional Academy for the sout eastand pride ourselves on the achievements of our squad and staff alike.

Roles available:-

BCU Paddlesport instructors- full and peak season casual roles available

RYA sailing, windsurfing and powerboat instructors- full and peak season/ full time and casual roles available

Staff should have pre requisite qualifications of at least RYA powerboat level 2 (sail, windsurf only) VHF SRC radio operator,  First Aid (8 hour course minimum) and at least one of the following.

BCU UKCC level 1 coach,

RYA start windsurfing instructor,

RYA intermediate windsurfing instructor,

RYA Senior windsurfing Instructor

RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor

RYA dinghy Instructor,

RYA Powerboat instructor,

Additional preferable qualifications will include BSUPA level 1 coach, RYA dinghy or windsurf race coach, advanced windsurfing instructor, advanced dinghy instructor, BCU UKCC level 2 or 3, first aid instructor, BEL, ML.
