Modernising the Council is a key priority in Brighton and Hove City Council's Corporate Plan. Technology is a key enabler for delivering a transformation programme which aims to create an organisation fit for the future.
To support the organisation to meet this challenge, ICT needs to recruit dynamic, committed and talented individuals to deliver major enhancements to our Information and Application Architectures, through the provision of robust and effective project management.
We have some very interesting upcoming projects and the successful applicant will play an integral part. The organisation is going through extremely rapid change and as such there are a number of challenging projects which you will be working on from the outset.
In addition to your strong technical background and knowledge, you will be a self starter with excellent stakeholder management and will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in influencing at all levels of a complex, political organisation.
This is a hands-on role and you will have a good understanding of Information Management and Governance. You will be managing and driving a number of strategic projects, whilst ensuring the maintenance of existing platforms / environments and managing stable transitions. You will exhibit a high level of leadership and the ability to understand complex information systems.
Significant experience is also required in working with disparate technical teams to provide a single joined up project team delivering complex changes to the organisation's IT architecture and business processes. Contract: Fixed-Term Expected end date: 31st Mar 2016
