What we are looking for   Male and female counsellors working from a variety of therapeutic modalities to join our unique and specialist multi-disciplinary team working with men who have experienced sexual violence.   For these counsellors to have an interest in research, development and a desire to be part of an exciting and innovative new project focusing on the needs of male survivors. The freelance position requires a mixture of paid and voluntary commitment as detailed below. Please ensure that you understand and are able to give the level of commitment we are asking for. We estimate that in total the commitment equals maximum 25 hours per month not including travel. Please note that it is only client sessions that are remunerated.   Your Commitment   Counselling: To work with 4 Mankind clients per week (not guaranteed by agency)   Meetings: Counsellors are required to attend monthly counsellor meetings (usually on a  weekday evening lasting 2 hours) These are designed to attend to admin/practical  issues and allow a forum for discussion on the ongoing progress of the project.  Min attendance commitment is 80%.   Evaluation: Contribute to ad hoc research, sharing experience of working with Mankind and  the client group served   Client Notes: Recording of formal client notes from each counselling session for Mankind  records and use in supervision and research interviews.
