We are seeking a professional with a background in Environmental Management Systems, and experience / knowledge of energy and waste. You will understand local government and the needs of Brighton & Hove in terms of carbon emissions reduction, sustainability and the environment.

Working in the Sustainability Team, the successful candidate will lead on the implementation of the council's Environmental Management System. Other work areas include helping develop a programme of externally-funded sustainability projects, and overseeing staff engagement activities, to help embed sustainability into the council culture and operations.   This is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2015 to cover maternity absence. Secondments welcome.
