A dynamic and progressive firm of chartered accountants based on the outskirts of Brighton is looking an Accounts and Audit Senior to join the firm.

About You:

* Professionally qualified (ACA or ACCA) currently working within an accountancy practice
* Possibly newly qualified or 1-2 years PQE
* Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate with clients in a clear and concise manner
* A track record of training and supervising staff
* Have a real desire to acquire new skills with a view to progressing career within the profession
* Strong technical tax, accounting and audit knowledge

About the role/relevant experience:

* Good statutory knowledge in preparing company accounts
* Assisting with supervision, coaching, training and mentoring of junior members of staff
* Demonstrable experience of UK audit regulation
* Working knowledge of corporate and personal tax to support managers with compliance work
* Ability to critically review information, data and accounts to and make informed practical business observations in order to improve the quality of the information
* Undertake review of small accounts cases on an ad hoc basis to assist
* Good working knowledge of main Microsoft applications, in particular, Excel and ideally the IRIS suite of programmes
