East Sussex has high aspirations for our newly configured services to support children with additional and special educational needs and disabilities; we are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic individual to join our management team to help us realise our vision.
Working within ISEND Provider Services, you will help shape, co-ordinate and lead a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary early intervention service designed to deliver a range of evidence-based interventions to support schools and providers, as well as parents and carers, to improve outcomes for children and young people.
We want a leader who can inspire with fresh ideas, strong management experience in a Children's Services related field and a commitment to partnership working. You will be part of a team ensuring a comprehensive range of high quality support (both statutory and non-statutory) is available and provided to children, young people and their families, across a range of settings and through effective inter-agency working in order to support statutory Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) processes. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the support we do provide makes a real difference.
At the forefront of change, you will have experience of building cohesive teams and supporting individuals through transition. You will be a consummate diplomat with a demonstrable ability to empathise with the range of concerns across our stakeholders and maintain links between support services, education providers and parents/carers.
We welcome applications from those who would relish the challenge of shaping a new role.
