An opportunity has arisen for 3 Support Workers to work within the Flexible Learning Educational Support Service (FLESS).  FLESS works with students unable to attend school for reasons of ill health, and works in partnership with school on roll, medical professionals / CAMHS to deliver a personalised education package and support reintegration back into school. FLESS supports students at a variety of venues dependent on need, usually at home or at one of three FLESS education bases.  You will act as key worker for individual students and support FLESS teachers to deliver a personalised programme of study.  You will also support the development of social and emotional skills through working with students individually and in groups, and support the set up of an elearning programme of study for individual students. In addition, you will work with Behaviour and Attendance Support Practitioners to support the reintegration of students back into full time education at school, so you should be sympathetic to the academic and pastoral needs of the secondary and primary aged students.  You must be prepared to attend training and follow a programme of continuing professional development (CPD).   These posts would be appropriate for candidates who are interested in a route into the teaching profession.
