Acorns and The Bungalow are children's homes which provide short breaks and residential care for young people with disabilities.   The Assistant Group Worker role will involve providing direct care and support to children and young people, working in line with Ofsted requirements; and providing opportunities for young people to develop independence skills and participate in a range of activities. You will be based in either Bexhill or Eastbourne, with the expectation that you can work in both settings. The post includes weekend working and sleeping-in duties. We offer a comprehensive induction package and training programme.  In addition to the three part-time posts we are recruiting to, we would welcome applications for Relief Assistant Group Workers. These are casual workers whose names go on a list of people we can call on to cover shifts when the need arises.

Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week (1 post in Eastbourne and 1 in Bexhill)                        30 hours per week (1 post in Bexhill) Working pattern: Part-time (3 or 4 shifts per week on average over a 4 weekly rota)  Fixed term for: 12 months Closing date: Sunday 5 October 2014
