Are you an experienced manager of Learning Disability services? We are looking for a flexible and adaptable person to join our existing management team to maintain and develop high quality services. The post will primarily provide management cover across Learning Disability Services, backfilling for the usual manager, as and when needed. You will take on the day to day management of a service, for as long as necessary. This may be to provide cover: during annual leave commitments, if the regular manager is unwell; or if there is a gap during recruitment processes. Your work and priorities will be guided by the senior management team. In addition to the above function we also envisage the post holder taking on project work to develop services in line with current thinking, encouraging client involvement and making connections with local communities to promote safe, flexible and responsive services that are person centred. This role is ideal for someone wishing to work part time, who enjoys variety in their role. It may suit someone looking for a springboard to more senior positions. Given the nature of the post, the successful applicant will have experience at this level and will possess exceptional organisational skills teamed with great leadership qualities. You will be able to manage budgets and you must be a great communicator with excellent written skills. In return for your commitment we will provide you with the relevant training/coaching and development opportunities in a friendly and supportive team. The post includes County wide travel therefore applicants will need to demonstrate how they will fulfil the travel requirements for the post.
