Occupational Therapy Assistant

Occupational Therapy is positioned at the front of the Adult Social Care pathway to ensure that all new clients have the opportunity to be reabled and maximise their independence. In addition the team are also working with existing social care clients, offering reablement as part of their package of support.  As an Occupational Therapy Assistant your role will focus on developing, advising and providing reablement solutions to enable people to maintain and maximise their independence. You will be responsible for carrying out and recording Social Care Assessments and determining eligible needs for services. The support planning process could include reabling interventions such as equipment or small adaptation provision, task analysis and practice sessions as appropriate. Signposting on to other services is also part of the role.  We currently have two vacancies, one is based in the Lewes and North Wealden area and the other is based in the Eastbourne area.
