Sous Chef – Brighton – Up to £25,000

A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de parti to join a great team for a historic hotel along Brighton sea front. The hotel possesses great character and offers a creative, casual but quality dining experience to a variety of customers.

You will be responsible for deputising in the head chef's absence, leading and mentoring the brigade. Ordering and liaising with suppliers ensuring all health and safety and food hygiene standards are adhered too. You will assist with the overseeing of the busy conferencing department up to 150 covers at each event.

You will ideally have a solid background in a restaurant or hotel and used to be working a busy operation. This is a busy kitchen that covers a quality restaurant, bar, terrace and large banqueting numbers so you must be able to work under pressure. You should be a real foodie with an eye for detail. Experienced in conferencing is a must!

Realistically you will work 45 hours per week, predominantly straight shifts 5 out of 7 days. In return the company offers 28 days holiday, discounts across the group, company pension and training and development plans.
