Job Title: Charity Telephone Fundraiser
Salary: £7.25 per hour
Location: Brighton
Temporary to permanent

We are looking for candidates to work on the telephone making contact with supporters of charities.

It is a warm and friendly environment to work in and you will be asked to speak with Charity supporters in an empathetic manner and explain to them how their previous donations have helped a charity and what their plans for future help would be. This role will involve you asking the supporter if they would like to continue their donation in the form of a more regular payment method so you will need to have a confident phone manner and be comfortable to ask people for money on behalf of the charity.

There are Part time and Full time roles available. You can work anywhere between 18-33 hours a week and this is a temporary to permanent role.

You can be flexible and change your working hours each week, the only restriction with working hours is that you work a set amount of "prime shifts", these shifts are detailed below and are on weekday evenings and Saturdays as this is when you can get in touch with most of the Charity's Supporters.

Prime shifts: Monday to Friday - 6pm to 9pm and Saturday - 10am to 1pm. The rest of your hours around these prime shifts can be made up however you want them to Monday to Friday in daytime shifts between 2pm and 5pm.

You must commit to one of the following working patterns:

* 18 – 21 hours per week – you must work 4 prime shifts
* 24 – 27 Hours per week – you must work 5 prime shifts
* 30 - 33 hours per week – you must work 6 prime shifts

This is not a sales job and you are not expected to be 'pushy' on the phone, instead you are expected to leave the supporter with an enhanced relationship with the given charity.

Please note we will ask you to come in and register with us in Brighton. There are opportunities for this role to start late April, with around 25 hours paid training.
