The council is committed to improving the experience of vulnerable households while staying in emergency accommodation across the city. 

The role will include visiting emergency accommodation, meeting with the households, the accommodation providers and support providers in order to assess support needs to ensure that households are accessing all of the help that is available to them. This may include advice and referring to the appropriate agencies for support on such things as finance and benefits , health and wellbeing and local services and amenities. 

The role will also include assisting in the inspections of emergency accommodation in order to report on disrepair and other maintenance issues. 

The role will also involve advising households on alternative housing options regarding moving on from emergency accommodation. 

This is an exciting opportunity to meet with vulnerable households who are often struggling to cope in difficult circumstances and to work alongside support agencies working with this client group.
